Boyne
Berries 26 will be launched on Thursday, 03rd October 2019 at 8 pm
in The Castle Arch Hotel, Trim, Co. Meath by poet Maurice Devitt.
MAURICE DEVITT completed the MA
in Poetry Studies at Mater Dei, won the Trocaire/Poetry Ireland Competition and
was placed or shortlisted in many other competitions including The Patrick
Kavanagh Award, The Listowel Collection Competition and Cúirt New Writing
Award. Selected for Poetry Ireland Introductions in 2016, he was a featured
poet at the Poets in Transylvania Festival in 2015 and a guest speaker at the
John Berryman Centenary Conference in both Dublin and Minneapolis. His poems
have been nominated for Pushcart, Forward and Best of the Net prizes. He is
curator of the Irish Centre for Poetry Studies site. He has
recently published his debut collection Growing Up in Colour with Doire
Press.
The
magazine will be available to purchase on the night. A special feature of the
issue is the inclusion of the poems shortlisted for Trim Poetry Competition
2019. Contributors to Boyne Berries 26 will read on the night. All welcome.
